Welcome to Hillside, our main service is the Lobley Hill worship centre (All Saints). Worship is lively and informal with music from our Praise Band. The worship on a Sunday morning is divided into two parts, which we have named ‘Sunday Double Decker’, starting at 10.15am.

Deck 1 (10.15am) lasts for 40 minutes and includes songs, puppets, drama, audio visual presentation, interactive prayer and a short sermon.

We then have a coffee break.

Deck 2(11.10am) will follow 15 minutes later. This is a worship service and may include Holy Communion (please see the Hillside Diary).

You can come to one or both services, it is up to you.

As soon as we finish the 1st Deck our children go over to the hall for their own time of fun and teaching called Super Sunday. During the 2nd Deck parents who are concerned that their young children are restless can feel free to use our crèche which has a video link to the service. We also have baby changing facilities.

At our Marley Hill centre (St Cuthbert’s) on the 1st Sunday of each month at 5pm we have FIRST SUNDAY. This has special appeal to families and those looking for a lively informal service. There is a band, puppets, drama etc. On the remaining Sundays there is a 6pm service at St Cuthbert’s – usually a quite gentle time of worship and prayer and includes on the 3rd Sunday Holy Communion.

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship groups meeting together in various locations during the week, for fellowship, prayer, ministry and learning together. They are also an important part of our care structure.

The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course is a 10 week introduction to the Christian Faith and is ideal for those new to our life and for those wanting to know more about what it means to be a Christian. It is an ideal way to ‘get started’ at Hillside. Alpha runs twice each year on either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings – normally at St Cuthbert’s.

Prayer

Prayer is a vital part of the life of Hillside.

Children at Hillside

The All Saints Worship Centre for Hillside Church is very much an ‘all age’ church family.

Children are important to our life – they are not ‘the church of tomorrow’ but very much part of the ‘church of today’

As soon as we finish our 1st deck (see above for details of this service), our children go across to the hall for their own time together called Super Sunday.

During the 2nd deck, for Parents/carers who are concerned that their younger children are restless during the service, there is a crèche upstairs for the under 3’s, with a video link to the main service.
