Baptism

Baptism/Christenings

Hillside Church comprises two church buildings, All Saints, Lobley Hill and St Cuthbert’s, Marley Hill.

At Hillside we make sure that your Baptism is a memorable occasion.

Whenever it happens, whether as a baby, child or adult, baptism is at the heart of an amazing journey of faith as a follower of Jesus Christ. You are never too young or old to take this step, and being baptized as an adult is a wonderful, affirming experience of the love of God.

During a child’s Baptism service, parents and Godparents will all make promises for the child and that they will be brought up in the Christian faith. This means that at least one parent will need to have been baptized and any Godparents.

Adult Baptism  – if you were never Christened as a child and what to take that step now – just let us know.
