Children and young people are important to the life of Hillside’s They are also able to learn and be nurtured through a range of activities organised for their specific age groups.

Messy Church is a fun time for families to:

Celebrate God together
A voluntary contribution towards the costs of craft materials and food is welcome.

3.00pm – 5.00pm  every 1st Sunday in the month at St Cuthbert’s, Marley Hill.

Super Sunday at All Saints

Activity time for our children aged 3 to 11. The first twenty minutes or so in the main gathering then they go to the Church Hall for their own teaching.

Hillside Youth  (Hy)

This is our group for the 11 to 18 year olds. They meet in the All Saints Church Hall on Friday evenings during school terms.

The Hillside Puppet Team

Members of the Puppet Team present the Gospel in a fun and accessible way.

Sunday Morning Creche at All Saints

We have a crèche area set aside at the back of church as well as a dedicated crèche upstairs (at All Saints, Lobley Hill) for the under 3’s, with a video link to the main service.

Child Protection Policy

Hillside Church has a Child Protection Policy in accordance with the Good Practice Guidelines issued by the Diocese of Durham. Everyone involved in  working with children must have DBS clearance.

All Saints Pre-School

Children have always been vitally important to life at Hillside and we are proud of our OFSTED registered Pre-School which provides high quality affordable care during school terms for 2-4 year olds, with experienced staff and excellent facilities.  More details »
