Our New Extension

Facilities in our Lobley Hill site have been greatly improved by the addition of a conservatory style extension on the side of our hall. The building—which was partly funded by a ‘Surestart’ grant, and also by a generous gift—is ideal for wet and messy play as well as other activities. We hope to use it for the pre-school lunch club as well.
Our pre-school have got off to a great start and all the new children have settled in really well. Three of our leaders are training for the NVQ level 3 qualification, which will keep us well above minimum OFSTED standards. The extra space has been well used and the conservatory gives direct access to our grassed play area (plus somewhere to take off muddy boots etc).
Baby Bouncers Mondays 1.15pm—2.15pm (during school term time) is for parents/carers and children aged 0-18 months. We have a variety of baby gyms as well as a good selection of other age appropriate toys. It is a great place for very young children to experience a wide range of activities.
There are places for 3 year olds at the Pre-school Telephone Tracey 0191 4220445 between 9.15am—11.45am Mon to Fri
Baby Bouncers/Toddler Time Telephone Gloria 0191 4220445 or just come to the hall on Mon or Fri
We meet in All Saints Church Hall in Rowanwood Gardens Lobley Hill.
A great Venue for your ’Big Day’

Looking for the perfect venue for a church wedding? How about St Cuthbert’s Marley Hill? It is ideal for up to 120 guests, it has that ‘traditional’ feel and yet is warm, welcoming, and you will have the personal attention of ‘Canon Bob’. Check out costs too—we know we are half the price of another local venue.
Changes in the marriage act make it much easier to be married in the church of your choice (although if you live in ‘the parish’ you can of course be married in your parish church—and for us that means either All Saints or St Cuthbert’s).
FIRST SUNDAY
-Church like you never though it could be!

Hard seats, dreary hymns, boring sermons, a cold draughty building—if that’s your vision of ‘church’ you’ve never been to First Sunday. We have lots of lively music, drama, puppets and all kinds of fun. We have regular items from children at Marley Hill Primary School. First Sunday is for all ages with a special emphasis on parents/grandparents and children. So if you want something completely different come to First Sunday—5pm on the First Sunday of every month at St Cuthbert’s, Marley Hill. First Sunday is becoming so popular that we are thinking of adding another get together each month –probably on the 3rd Sunday of each month—same time (5pm) same place
(St Cuthbert’s). Watch the notice board and school fliers for more details—or come to First Sunday and ask!!!
