Hillside Church comprises two church buildings, All Saints, Lobley Hill and St Cuthbert’s, Marley Hill.
At Hillside we make sure that your child’s Baptism is a memorable occasion. The service contains important promises. To help you understand them and to experience something of the life of Hillside we ask that you come and join us at one or more of our services and have an informal chat with Glen the Vicar or Lina one of our Lay Readers.
Come to which Service?
Café Church, on the 1st Sunday of each month at 10.15 am at All Saints Lobley Hill.
Messy Church at 3.00 pm in St Cuthbert’s Marley Hill; 1st Sunday of each month.
Any Sunday to All Saints 10.15 am – you’ll be most welcome.
Baptisms are normally held on Sunday afternoons.
During a child’s Baptism service, parents and Godparents will all make promises for the child and that they will be brought up in the Christian faith. This means that at least one parent will need to have been baptized and any Godparents.
Adult Baptism – if you were never Christened as a child and what to take that step now – just let us know.

“Our wedding day was perfect! Everyone at All Saints went above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted, can’t thank them enough. Beautiful Church, lovely people and amazing atmosphere – would 100% recommend X “
- All Saints, Lobley Hill, can seat up to 180 with plenty of space for indoor photographs after the ceremony if the weather is unkind.
- St Cuthbert’s, Marley Hill is ideal for up to 120 guests and has that traditional feel while being warm and welcoming.
Marriage is a gift from God and a reflection of God’s love for us.
You can make the service your own by choosing the hymns, music, readings and flowers. You might even know some one who can perform a song or instrumental piece.
The Service reflects your commitment to each other and seeks God’s help in fulfilling the promises you make on your wedding day.

The Church of England – expressing the love of God
from life’s beginning – its journey – and its end.
A funeral marks the end of a person’s life here on earth.
Family and friends come together to express grief, give
thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s
keeping. This can be a small quiet ceremony or a large occasion
in either a packed church or crematorium.
The following link will help guide you through this ceremony.
We are there for you through all the stages of life and believe that God’s love and power extends over all creation. Christians have always believed that there is hope in life and that there is new life in Christ after death. Arrangements are usually made through the Funeral Director of your choosing but if you wish to contact the church directly this is fine as well. You can contact us through the church office (Tel: 0191 422-0445, email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
