Who's Who at Hillside
Bob Hopper is vicar of Hillside. His main areas of responsibility are Preaching, leading worship, and the pastoral care of ‘the Parish’ (Byermoor, Marley Hill, Sunniside, Streetgate, Lobley Hill, Festival, & Rosewood Park). He also travels regularly to support our links in other parts of the World.
Ellen Miller & David Thompson are our Churchwardens.
They are responsible for the care and upkeep of our buildings and plant, for the ‘floor management’ during services, and are an important part of our care team. They also represent Hillside within the wider church.
Lina Beck is one of our 'Readers' (licenced lay minister whithin the Church of England). Her main responsibility is "1st Deck" although she is also a lively and challenging preacher.
Suzi Rayner our other Reader looks after all the teams associated with '2nd Deck' (ministry, intercessions etc). She is a very 'thought provoking preacher, and enjoys singing with the band.
We are an official ‘Shared Ministry Parish’ – and we are committed to every member ministry.
