Hillside Church, All Saints, receives a lofty repair.

One of the things that people like to do when they are able to go on holiday, be it in this country or abroad, is to visit a local Church or Cathedral. Even if they are not actively involved in a church at home they like to know that the space is living and breathing and continues to have meaning; that worship and prayers continue to be sung and said. It’s this dynamic that speaks into the heart and puts the church at the heart of a community. All Saints is just such a church so it needs to be an good condition to receive the friend as well as the stranger.

The work carried out on the building will help strengthen our commitment to bless our community for the years to come. To that end it’s great to be able to say that phase one of the All Saints Church high level repairs have been completed. We would like to acknowledge the following who kindly supported us with grants or donations:
The Garfield Weston Foundation, The Joicey Trust, National Churches Trust, Northumbria Historic Churches Trust, Sir John Priestman Charitable Trust, Diocese of Durham Church Buildings Panel and Hillside Church Congregation.
